@phyllicia.victoria It’s amazing how there is never a place quite as comfortable as your own bed. 😌It’s a little safe space that you can cozy up Read More
under the covers for security when you need to. A place to cry and release. I tend to do it of my best thinking and work in bed. I keep a journal under my pillow so that I can jot down dreams I want to remember or late night/early morning ideas. I can quickly make it into an office space.
When I was younger I loved creating collages, and vision boards. I’d sit in bed cutting out my favorite images from all my magazines. I had alottt of magazines. I didn’t even really read them, I just liked them for the visuals. 😂 I’d also use the images as drawing references. I’d look through for interesting faces and models to draw while sitting in my bed. I also would use my journal every single day, writing out all my feelings, things I was angry about, the boys I liked that didn’t like me... it was all in my journal... I still have some of them.
My bed has always been a safe space for me to think and explore my most inner deep thoughts.
What other activities do you do in your bed? (Besides sleeping and you know what 😏)

@healingmotions Do you ever work on your “bad” side? I like to call it my second best side 🥰😅 because I don’t want to put a limiting belief Read More
on it - but it is an important concept emotionally and physically (as described below and seen in the videos 🤣). .
.
Emotionally is the most important. Do we have a great relationship, but lose our temper periodically? Or get anxious/depressed? If you have the tools you can overcome all these things and have a better relationship with yourself and others, although it requires a good teacher and lots of work 🦋 It is our responsibility to ourself and others not to just lean on “when times are good” or our good attributes, but to grow as a person 🔥 This prevents us from having that one “trigger” that ruins a great relationship (or day). .
.
Physically is also important - we tend to favor our strengths and do repetitive motions with our dominant side. On a large scale this effects muscular balance, performance, and brain activity while generally leading to pain in the body. A simple way to see how powerful correcting this can be is to brush your teeth with the opposite hand for a week! You may be surprised what happens to your cognition and coordination in that short amount of time!

because I’m not necessarily doing it for myself, but as a default from being with someone that’s fully integrated with that world.
I’m not used to knowing what day of the week it is.
Plus, being my own boss- I usually work just about every day of the week, regardless of if it’s the weekend or not.
Although it’s also important to have boundaries with work- knowing that just because I have my phone on me doesn’t mean that I’m available for work related tasks.
However, the reason I like to do little bits of maintenance (even on the weekends), is because I don’t like emails piling up- or having that dreaded Monday feeling.
Since everything has changed (globally, as well as in my personal life), so has my cadence.
It’s not necessarily a “good” or a “bad” thing, it kind of just is.
But, as with most change, the transition from what I’m used to to what I’m currently doing has some discomfort.
I feel resistance to structure & what’s considered “the norm” for no reason other than feeling trapped & cagey.
I was talking to my mom about it the other day, and she reminded me that it’s really about my perspective.
I can keep disliking this whole routine of “living for the weekend” & grinding during the week- OR, I can return to gratitude for having a flexible, paying job at all.
Plus, if I really don’t like it, I can rearrange my own schedule to something that feels more true to me.
That option is a luxury.
Having a job at all (especially right now) is a privilege.
It’s how we view hardships that make them difficult at all.
Perspective & gratitude always have the opportunity to change our attitude (what ya rhyme, hey?)
Needless to say, I’m grateful to have a mama who’s been keeping me in check for 32 years.
I might feel a little foggy entering into this week after a long weekend, but I’m also feeling full as hell since I decided to change my perspective.
What are you grateful for today? 🌻 #GLOWyogafam
