been a big fan of the term luck, as I’ve put the time and work in to the things that I’ve accomplished. And while not everything has been rainbows and butterflies, there has been some good timing, places and connection that has aligned everything to create a foundation to leap from. I have chosen to leap, rather than stand there and let fear of failure take over. I should say I do that more often these days, there have been many missed opportunities I’m sure. @asanavanessa One of those poses I didn’t know I could do, but did because I work on so much basic prep 😍 Leg strengthening and

flexibility is a must for this one, as well as stretchy sides and an active core to lift dat leg up high! It’s fun seeing poses like this on the gram, whether it’s just to admire or to take inspo. Keep in mind that generally no one is just practicing more advanced poses, but rather they do soooo much of the “basic boring stuff” that leads to this ☺️ forward folds, side bends, standing balances (and more) all make up some of these more complex poses. - Swipe to see how I get into this one - start with parivrtta janu sirsasana (Revolved head to knee) and hold there as a prep. Bring your hand down flat, lean a tiny bit of weight back and take the foot on to tippy toes to test balance.
